| Notification for Counseling of VOCLET, Session: 2013-14 For information to the Students & Guardians • Counseling of both VOCLET & JEXPO for the session 2013-14 will be a combination of Manual & Computerized Modes. Multi-station Dual-Monitor system will be used for the counseling. • There will be provision of real-time display of vacancy positions at the counselling venues. • Counseling of VOCLET-2013 shall be based on VOCLET rank only excluding the Physically Challenged (PC) candidates. Candidates having rank in other reserved category shall get the chance of selecting his/her desired seat from the remaining vacant seats of both Reserved Category and General Category during his/her turn. | |

Date of Counseling Rank to be Counseled Reporting time at the Counseling Venue; Counseling will held by GENERAL Rank wish. (Only PC Rank Holder get the chance of separately with their PC rank list wish). If you are SC/ST then you have the chance to get the admission through your SC rank but you have to appear in the counseling process by the General rank wish. Seat allotment will provide through Caste wish. |

• In case, seats of VOCLET remain vacant after the scheduled counselling, there may be a 2nd phase counselling of VOCLET and if so, notification shall be given in the website (www.webscte.org). • Two Demand Drafts, one of Rs.500/- towards Counselling Fee and another of Rs.2000/- towards Allotment Fee, preferably on UNITED BANK OF INDIA are to be drawn in favour of “WEST BENGAL STATE COUNCIL OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION” payable at “KOLKATA”. (In case of very special case/emergent situation acceptable to the authority, Counselling Fee amounting Rs.750/- and Allotment Fee amounting 2250/- may be deposited in cash.) For the said refund, candidates are requested to furnish the following details in the prescribed format annexed at the end of notice. • Different steps of counselling are furnished below in a nutshell, Rank-based Entry to the system - Issue of Rank Card on Production of Admit Card of VOCLET-2013 – Deposition of Counseling Fee by Demand Draft – Verification of original Certificates, Mark sheets, etc. –Registration into the System – Booking / Rejection of Seat by the valid rank holders and issue of Offer Letter/Rejection Letter – Deposition of Allotment Fee by Demand Draft for booking of seat – Issue of Allotment Letter – Exit from the system • After receiving the Allotment letter, candidates must report to their respective polytechnics with the allotment letter, admission and other fees, original certificates and mark sheets for admission within the specified date. Failure to which, his/her candidature will be cancelled . • Prior to selection of any polytechnic or branch of study, a candidate should gather sufficient knowledge about the polytechnic/branch. Change/transfer of polytechnic or branch of study is not allowable once offer letter is issued. • Counselling program for any admission category will continue till the last seat of that category will remain vacant. The moment all seats of a particular category (PC/ST/SC/GEN) will be filled up, counselling will be stopped for that category. • Xerox copy of any of the certificates, Mark sheets etc. shall not be accepted at the time of verification and for such cases, counselling of the candidate will not be allowed. Under any circumstances, counselling fee shall not be refunded. All candidates are requested to avoid deposition of fees by cash. • Candidates must write their names, ranks and contact mobile numbers at the back side of both the demand drafts before deposition . • Candidates and guardians are requested to maintain law and order and cleanliness at the counselling venue. It is also advised not to indulge in any unlawful activity at the counselling venue. Only one guardian shall be allowed to enter in the counselling zone. No guardian shall be allowed in the seat booking hall. So, candidates should decide his/her order of choices in consultation with their guardians before entering the selection hall. • Timely appearance in the counselling venue and reporting to the system against rank-based calls are very important. Otherwise, candidates, entering late in the system, shall loose his/her desired seat. | |
