27. c
31.a
27. (a) is the right answer. If you know that (c) is the right answer please give me the reference. I will be thankful to you.
At the time of second five year plan, Have industrial company was established in India. But I don't know the right answer of "The Mahalanobis strategy of Indian Planning gave emphasis to growth of " .
answer of Q No 27 will be service sector.... agriculture has only around 15-16% ,where as service sector account almost 60%.....rest by industrial sector....
answer of Q NO 27 will be service sector it account more 50%...agriculture sector contribution is lowest only 15-16% in india's GDP.....
Q no 49 current account is right answer..... as per tarapore committee capital account convertibility only will be allowed if CAD shall be 3 %, fescial deficite shall be 4.1 & inflation shall be less than 5 %.....among these non of the criteria is being full filled, therefore currently there is no capital account convertibility....
Q NO 45... 1st of all none the option is right option, also question is very subjective bcoz they should mention by whom's report(whether by panning commission or tendulkar committee report)....if nothing is mention we can assume by planning commission report bcoz poverty is published by panning commission, if wlll go with this we can say it 27 % around and tendulkar committee taking base 2004-2005 it is 37.5%, therefore i would go with 40% option A...
q.38. 49
The second five-year plan focused on industry, especially heavy industry. Unlike the First plan, which focused mainly on agriculture, domestic production of industrial products was encouraged in the Second plan, particularly in the development of the public sector. The plan followed the Mahalanobis model, an economic development model developed by the Indian statistician Prasanta Chandra Mahalanobis in 1953. The plan attempted to determine the optimal allocation of investment between productive sectors in order to maximise long-run economic growth . It used the prevalent state of art techniques of operations research and optimization as well as the novel applications of statistical models developed at the Indian Statistical Institute. The plan assumed a closed economy in which the main trading activity would be centered on importing capital goods.[7][8]
Hydroelectric power projects and five steel mills at Bhilai, Durgapur, and Rourkela were established. Coal production was increased. More railway lines were added in the north east.
The Atomic Energy Commission was formed in 1958 with Homi J. Bhabha as the first chairman. The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research was established as a research institute. In 1957 a talent search and scholarship program was begun to find talented young students to train for work in nuclear power.
