Admission through JEXPO: 1. Admission in the first year through counseling will require a valid rank in JEXPO 2015 and minimum 35% marks (without rounding up) I aggregate (excluding marks of additional paper) in Madhyamik or equivalent examination. 2. No upper age limit. However the candidates should not born after 01/07/2000. | ||
Admission through VOCLET: 1. Admission in the second year through counseling will require a valid VOCLET 2015 Rank. And passing Vocational / Technical 12th class or x+2 ITI with valid VOCLET 2015 rank. 2. As per AICTE rules maximum 20% of sanctioned intake will be filed up by VOCLET 2015 rank holders. | ||
Reservation: 1. 22% of the seats are reserved for SC candidates in Government and government sponsored polytechnics. 2. 6% of the seats are reserved for ST candidates in Government and government sponsored polytechnics. 3. 3% of the seats are reserved for PH candidates in Government and government sponsored polytechnics. 4. In case non availability of sufficient number of eligible candidates under ST category, the vacant seats will be converted to SC category only subject to the consideration of all merit listed ST candidates. 5. In case non availability of sufficient number of eligible candidates under PH category, the vacant seats will be converted to GENERAL category only subject to the consideration of all merit listed PH candidates. 6. These norms shall also apply on prorate basis to DQ, FQ and LLQ as indicated below: 7. District Quota (DQ) : A) 20% seats of polytechnics in each district / Zone will be reserved for the candidates of respective districts / zones ( remaining 80% seats for state quota). In case non availability of sufficient number of eligible candidates under DQ quota, the vacant seats will be converted to State Quota (SQ). B) For availing of DQ the candidates must be pass Madhyamik or equivalent examination from the district / zone for which he / she claims district reservation facility. However DQ will not applicable in respect of APC Polytechnic, North Calcutta Polytechnic, Central Calcutta Polytechnic, Birla Institute of Technology and Jan Chandra Ghosh Polytechnic. 8. Female Quota in DQ (FQ):- A) Out of the DQ seats 25% seats will be reserved for the female candidates of the respective districts / zones. In case non availability of sufficient number of eligible candidates under FQ, the vacant seats will be converted to DQ seats of respective category by a Government Order subject to consideration of all valid rank holders of JEXPO 2015 female candidates. 9. Land Looser Quota (LLQ): A) 2% of total seats in all Government and Government Polytechnics shall be kept reserved for candidates of Land Looser Category. b) Certificates issued in the name of Parents / Legal Guardians by BDO / SDO / First Class Magistrates / Group A officers only shall be considered. Candidate have to produce original supporting documents at the time of admission. 10. TFW Scheme :- Maximum 5% of sanction intake in the first year of all diploma courses shall be filled up on supernumerary basis by the candidates having valid JEXPO 2015 ranks and with family income from all the sources less than Rs. 2.50 lakh per annum in the preceding financial year under TFW scheme. The waiver is limited to Tuition fee only. ***** There is no Management Quota in case of Lateral Entry (VOCLET) / direct admission to the 2nd year of Diploma course in Self financed polytechnics.
