1. Counselling will be made till availability of seats and the counselling will be stopped
when the seats are filled-up. Appearing in the counselling does not confirm allotment of
seats.
2. No candidate will be allowed admission in
SC/ST quota unless he/she produces valid SC/ST certificate at the time of
counselling/admission.
3. No candidate will be allowed
admission in PC quota unless he/she produces valid PC certificate at the time of
admission. The candidates have only orthopedically disability of at least 40% will be
allowed to take admission under PC Category.
4. Upper age limit is 22 years for General candidates as on 01.01.2011. SC/ST candidates
should be within 24 years as on 01.01.2011.
5. a) Admission Forms will be available at all polytechnics and counselling venues, which
will be supplied to the merit listed candidates called for counselling on payment of
Rs.20/- (Rupees Twenty) in cash.
b) The duly filled-in Admission Form is required to be submitted at the time of
counselling. Do not attach any Photocopy of certificates with the Admission Form.
6. Candidates must bring the following documents in original for verification at the time of
counselling:
a) One copy of recent passport size photograph, duly attested and pasted on the Admission Form
b) Admit Card of Madhyamik / equivalent examination as age proof
c) Mark sheet of Madhyamik / equivalent examination
d) Certificate from competent authority in respect of SC/ST/PC category candidates, as applicable
e) ITI pass mark sheet / certificate for ITI Category candidates
f) Relevant certificate issued by BLRO / SDLRO in original for admission against land loser
category
g) Counter Foil(s) of the POLY-40 Application Form submitted to the polytechnic

Sorry Tuhin you have no chance to take part on the counseling. If council arrange another counseling that means second stage counseling than i think you have a chance. But right now I have a suggestion for you : "Contact with any non-government colleges near by your home". If any seats remain blank of these colleges, than you can take admission in these colleges without counseling.

All students can be participate in counseling process in every district (Except KNSHH). So Raja, Suman and landloser serial 13 all of you can take part of the counseling process. Please read above article for more details. I wrote all thing about counseling process, District, Date and time. Please remember counseling will not start same day in each district. So, read carefully full article.
Mousumi, I think I wrote the answer of your question on other page. Again I tell you, in KNSHH council published the Rank list for counseling. The call General Female-1 to 1200. So you have to wait for the second stage counseling (If council arrange 2nd stage counseling).

Dear Sujit, I am very sorry to that I don't know about the total seats in Your district. Please participate in counseling process of your district. Counseling date of your district is 27 July and 28 July from 10 am.
Dear Pranab, Answer of your question is no. But if any seats of any polytechnic(mainly Non-Government) remain blank than they can fill up this respective seats by the students who was not taked part of counseling process.
Dear Raja, Pre-counseling leaflet is unnecessary. You already got the necessary documents (option form and Application form). Pre-Counseling leaflet is a information sheet, it's inform you about the counseling process, Venue and time.
Dear Abhiraj, I think you have to choose any one from Civil, Electrical, Electronic and Computer Science. Any one of these list is better for your career. Pranab, If the counseling dates are different for both district, than you can take part of the counseling process of both district (I searched for the restriction but I could not find any restriction).But you have to fill up different Application form and Demand Draft of Rs. 425 for both district.
Suman, Yes, you have to purchase Demand Draft of Rs. 425.- drawn on any SBI Branch in favour of “West Bengal State Council of Technical Education” payable at Kolkata.

Pranab, You have to attend any one. Because counseling date is same. Think about which district is better for you!! I think your Home district is better for you.
Raja, You have to attend 27 July. Time start from 10:00 am and don't mind, prepare your self for taking admission in Non-government colleges. Seats in government colleges are minimum. I think it(Government colleges) will be filled by 300-400 ranker.

Suman, fee structure is different from one college to another college. But for POLY40,JEXPO, VOCLET qualified student's it will be 12,000(Twelve Thousand) to 14,000 (Fourteen Thousand)per 6 months(semester). Hostel and others fees separate.

Yes Pranab, at the time of counseling you need to show your rank card (print out of your rank),counter part of your form and all documents about your education proof and age proof.

Yes, You have to collect DD of Rs.425/- from any SBI bank (only SBI)before counseling date or you can pay Rs.450/- at the counseling Venue at the time of counseling. You can collect "Application form" form any Polytechnic College by payment of Rs.20/- and download the "Option Form" from council website.

Sumon, this time(first counseling) you have no chance to take part in counseling because council is called only SC-1 to SC-500 rank holder.
Sumit, Please connect with any polytechnic college in Darjeeling within Monday noon. They can give you the right information. No second stage counseling date is announced by council.
Sukanya, Council is called General rank G-1 to G-1200 for counseling process. So, at this time you have no chance to get any college in Kolkata.
Hemanta, I don't know how many seats are reserved for ST in Birla Institution of Technology. But according to Gov. rules there are should be some seats for ST. If there are some seats for ST then you have great chance.
