Admission procedure:

West Bengal State Council of Technical Education offers Diploma Courses in Engineenng / Technology which are taught in different Government, Sponsored, Aided & Self-Financing Polytechnics / Institutes / Organisations of West Bengal or any other State affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education. Candidates who have passed Madhyamik (X+) Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or any other equivalent examination from any school approved by the WBSCTE are eligible for admission to the full-time Diploma Course.

All of the allotted seats 60% are filled up on the basis of the merit list of the "Joint Entrance Examination for Admission to State Polytechnics (JEXPO)" conducted by the "West Bengal State Council of Technical Education".
